In early 2009 I was sent to Melbourne for a month for work. David wasn’t
available, but other divers from SWAMP were able to show me one of the
best muck diving sites in Australia. My first dive with Margaret and Theo was
superb, even though conditions were less than perfect; it was cold, wet and
windy. But my second dive was unforgettable. This time Margaret, AJ, and
Michael joined me. We geared up in the car park above, took a short walk
down a set of stairs, then on to the pier. It was a lovely warm March day and
the water was clear and inviting; we could even see large spider crabs on the
