COURSE CONTENT: MARINE LIFE IDENTIFICATION

Spend a weekend with Australia's most experienced Underwater Naturalist and acclaimed Underwater Photographer Neville Coleman and expand your knowledge of fish, marine life and the marine environment while enjoying the best shore dives in NSW.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of divers & snorkellers. Participants will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of marine life identification, fish species and the underwater environment in general.

Use of digital photography or video for marine life identification is also encouraged. Kevin & Cherie Deacon will be on hand to assist with underwater photography techniques. Kevin is a master at underwater image capture and expert at making the concepts simple and uncomplicated while at the same time developing your ability to improve your future image capture results.

Our base for the weekend is the Shoal Bay Holiday Park which provides comfortable accommodation in their Outrigger Villas, conference room, recreational facilities and BBQ area. This accommodation will be available
Friday afternoon through to Monday 10:00 AM checkout.

The programme will finish at 5:30 PM Sunday evening after which participants can choose to pack and depart or stay overnight for a Monday departure.

The dive sites will be selected from the best sites in the Marine Park bordered by Halifax and Fly Point. These sheltered dive sites within Port Stephens offer easy beach entry, depths ranging from 5 to 28 meters and the best diversity of fish and marine life in NSW.

Our support dive shop at Port Stephens is Pro Dive Nelson Bay and they have excellent facilities including Air Fills or Nitrox Fills. They also have a gear washing area, shower and toilets.
